The City of East Peoria recognized several public safety personnel for promotions and achievements in June. Firefighter Bryson Madden, who has served with the East Peoria Fire Department since July 1, 2016, was promoted to lieutenant on June 18.

In the East Peoria Police Department, officers Justin Piro and Sean Olinger were promoted to sergeant on June 3. Picture is as follows, left to right: Police Chief Catton, Sergeant Piro, Sergeant Olinger, Deputy Chief Billingsly, and Deputy Chief Ernst.

Police officer Rachel Giffhorn also was recognized after being named “Juvenile Officer of the Year,” by the Illinois Juvenile Officers Association.
