Girl Scout summer camp is open to all girls — a Girl Scout membership is not required. Flexible pricing and camp scholarships are available to ensure accessibility for all.

Camp Tapawingo allows campers from across central Illinois to immerse themselves in the traditional summer camp experience with activities like swimming, rock climbing, archery, horseback riding, canoeing, cooking over a fire, and much more. Overnight and “mini” overnight sessions are held June 7 – July 24 and open to girls ranging from grades 1-12.

Camp Tapawingo is home to a state-of-the-art equestrian center where campers learn horseback riding skills and horse care, dining hall, in-ground pool, 40-foot adventure course, ropes course, archery, canoeing, and miles of hiking trails. Campers stay in three rustic living units, all with indoor bathrooms and running water.

Camp Tapawingo is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), the highest standard in the camp industry. This accreditation means camp meets or exceeds over 250 nationally recognized standards for health, safety, staffing, and program quality. Parents can feel confident knowing their camper is in a safe, supportive environment with trained staff dedicated to helping them grow, explore, and thrive.
