The new Emergency Alert System, CodeRed by Crisis24, is up and running. A portal has been created for East Peoria residents and can be found on the City of East Peoria’s website: https://accountportal.onsolve.net/EastPeoriaILAlertSystem. Through the new user portal, residents can:

• Create or access their account
• Update personal details, device details, and location details
• Or deactivate their accounts

CodeRed by Crisis24 is a mass notification platform used by government agencies worldwide that can send geo-targeted messaging to specific cities, locations, regions, neighborhoods, or even streets. The system is used to help organizations communicate during emergencies such as the following:

• Weather/natural disasters
• Public safety threats
• IT disruptions
• Water main breaks and boil advisories
• Road closures/Collisions

It is encouraged that East Peoria residents sign up to receive alerts from the new system, CodeRed by Crisis24. The City of East Peoria will begin using this new system regularly to update and alert residents in real-time. If residents were signed up to receive alerts through the old system, before March 31, 2025, they will receive alerts from the new system. Crisis24 transferred this data to the new system for all its customers.

We want to reassure East Peoria residents that the previous incident was limited to an external breach of a third-party provider and did not compromise internal city systems.
