Those who want to see the Festival of Lights floats and displays up close can run, walk, or ride the lighted Trolley float through Folepi’s Winter Wonderland display during the 25th annual “Get Lit” New Year’s Day Celebration.

Get Lit family-friendly activities will occur from 3pm to 6:30pm. There will be no vehicles in the Winter Wonderland during the event, and dogs are not allowed. This is the only time people are allowed to walk through the Winter Wonderland display.

Families can celebrate the New Year by riding the lighted Trolley parade float or enjoying a casual stroll through the display from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. They can also warm up at fire pits and enjoy s’mores, marshmallows, and hot chocolate.

The Get Lit’s traditional run/walk through the Winter Wonderland starts at approximately 4pm and is a way for people to “run” in the new year. Participants must stay on the main road due to the numerous guide wires supporting the displays. For people participating in both the 35th Anniversary FOLEPI River Trail Classic, 4-mile run or 2-mile walk, and the organized 1-mile fun run/walk at the 25th Anniversary Get Lit Celebration will receive a FOLEPI FITNESS CHALLENGE REWARD. Awards will be available after the 1-mile fun run/walk.

Cost is $20 per person. The first 175 pre-registered participants will receive a 25th Annual Get Lit long-sleeve T-shirt. There will be a limited availability of shirts at the event on Jan. 1.
