This season, City Hall will be a public donation site for Salvation Army’s Coats4Kids. A bin has been placed in the Civic Plaza Atrium and will be regularly maintained. According to the Salvation Army, 2 in 5 children go without weather-appropriate gear every winter. This includes scarves, gloves, boots, hats and coats. 

This year, infant, child, and adult coats are needed. New or gently used items are encouraged. All coat sizes, scarves, gloves, boots, and hats are welcome to be placed in the bins. East Peoria currently has two drop-off locations: 

• City Hall – 401 W Washington St. 
• Potbelly Sandwich Shop – 318 W Washington St.
