Festival of Lights Season Approaches – Celebrating 41 Years
Oct 13, 2025 02:32PM ● By Kory Brown, Festival of Lights Chairman
Welcome to the 41st Annual East Peoria Festival of Lights, one of the largest nighttime holiday festivals in the Midwest. What was originally planned as a one-time event, has grown into the award-winning festival we offer today.
There have been many changes throughout the history of this great Festival, and none of them could have been done without the help from the FOLEPI Construction Crew over these past 41 years. As the Festival of Lights Chairman, I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to everyone who has helped with the Festival. From the creators of our amazing floats and displays, to our staff members who help work on the festivities year-round, and to the folks that volunteer to help with the Parade of Lights or another Festival event, thank you for all that you do!
As Festival season approaches, our crews have begun to prepare our fleet of floats for the Parade of Lights, as well as starting to put up our 2D displays in Veterans Park for FOLEPI’s Winter Wonderland. Preparations are in full swing as the month of November approaches!
This year, the Parade of Lights is set to take place on Saturday, November 22nd. The Winter Wonderland drive through display is set to open the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 28th. Winter Wonderland will be open nightly, through January 4th, 2026. We hope that you will join us this year for one of our great events!
Please be on the lookout to our social media pages for all updates and press releases moving forward. Welcome to the 41st annual East Peoria Festival of Lights!
