At Crittenton Centers, we’ve been serving children and families in Tazewell, Woodford, and Peoria Counties for more than 130 years. We believe that strong families build stronger communities, and that belief drives every aspect of our work.

Whether a family needs the round-the-clock support of our Crisis Nursery, guidance from a Parent Educator to ensure their child’s milestones are being met, or compassionate assistance from a Doula during pregnancy and postpartum, Crittenton Centers is here for children and families in their time of need.

Our Programs:

Crisis Nursery
Providing stability in a family’s hour of need through no-cost, short-term emergency care, respite care, and basic need supplies for children from birth through age 6. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Crisis Nursery ensures children have a safe, nurturing environment when parents or caregivers are facing crises.

Milestones
Helping parents recognize their strengths and build strong parent-child relationships through home visits, developmental activities, and literacy support at no cost to enrollees. Services are provided by our Parent Educators, who offer tools and strategies to support children’s growth and help families thrive.

Doula Services
Our Doulas provide emotional, informational, and physical support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. They work alongside families to promote healthy beginnings for both parents and babies.

Family Advocacy Center
Supporting family reunification and working to prevent out-of-home placements by empowering parents with skills and resources to keep families together. Our Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) helps parents strengthen relationships and guide children toward positive behaviors.
