Kingdom Autocare – Embodies the Christian Commitment to Serve

Jul 09, 2025 01:59PM ● By Alexander Germanis

Life is full of unwelcome surprises and setbacks, but few can be as disruptive as needing car repairs. The temporary loss of a vehicle, even for a short time, can cause a cascade of complications. Getting to work becomes more stressful, picking up and dropping off your children turns into an even greater chore, and once seemingly straightforward tasks like grocery shopping can turn into logistical nightmares.

Fortunately, some of the same people who understand that frustration can also help get you back on the road again. The professionals at Kingdom Autocare in East Peoria recognize that your car is not only one of the most important assets you own, but it is likely one of the most expensive.

“We understand that unexpected repairs can arise at the worst times, especially when the budget isn’t prepared for it. That’s why offering financing options is so important to us,” says Manager Trent Wyss. “It allows our customers to keep their vehicles safe and reliable without adding unnecessary financial stress. Providing that flexibility helps people stay on the road and maintain their daily routines, even when life throws a curveball.”

Financial stress is not the only thing Trent and his fellow manager, Lane Schumacher, can help alleviate when it comes to auto repairs. The stress of simply dealing with getting the repairs done is enough to make many people dread picking up the phone to find a mechanic in the first place.

“We understand that car repairs can be stressful, especially when you’re unsure who to trust or what’s really needed,” Lane chimes in. “That’s why creating a no-pressure environment is essential to us. It allows our customers to make informed decisions with confidence. By focusing on clear communication, education, and transparency – not sales tactics – we build trust and long-term relationships. We’re here to serve, not to sell, and that makes all the difference.”

Transparency is at the heart of everything they do at Kingdom Autocare because they understand trust is something that should be earned, not assumed. One step they have made toward earning that trust is by sharing knowledge through a blog on their website, found at www.kingdomautocare.com/auto-repair-east-peoria.

By showing real inspection photos and explaining every recommendation, they believe they can instill more of a sense of confidence in their customers while removing the intimidation and pressure of dealing with a mechanic. “When people understand what’s going on with their vehicle and why a repair is needed, they can make informed decisions,” explains Trent. “That kind of honesty doesn’t just fix cars – it builds relationships.”

Honesty is a key Christian value, one of many unabashedly espoused at Kingdom Autocare. In fact, the name itself was chosen with Christian belief in mind. “Our owner, Steve, chose the name to reflect the heavenly Kingdom where God and Jesus reside – a Kingdom that represents our true home,” shares Lane. “The name embodies our commitment to serving others with integrity, compassion, and purpose, grounded in faith and values that guide everything we do.”

Many residents of Central Illinois may already be aware of Kingdom Autocare through a different name: Hiller Automotive. The parent company to Hiller, Kingdom Autocare is making more of an open mark through the opening of the new location in East Peoria at 927 East Washington Street. “Since we were opening a new location in a different market, we chose to use the Kingdom name to establish a distinct brand identity that reflects who we want to be known as moving forward,” Trent states. “This allows us to build a fresh presence while still benefiting from the strong foundation and values of our parent company.”

Kingdom Autocare recently introduced themselves to the public, customers, and vendors of East Peoria during an open house they hosted. “Our goal was to help people get familiar with our newly opened shop in a relaxed, welcoming environment,” Lane says. “We believe one of the best ways to connect with people is over good food – and based on the response, the pork chops and burgers were a hit! It was a great way to build relationships and introduce the community to who we are and how we serve.”

By way of introduction to the community, Trent and Lane come from similar backgrounds. Trent grew up on his family farm, repairing the equipment when it broke down. Lane also made repairs, but in the shop of a local farm machinery dealership where he worked. Although they have also both worked in numerous business fields over the years, including finance, their experiences both in the office and “under the hood” led to Steve Endress hiring them at Kingdom Autocare. This conjunction felt like a natural fit for both of them, with their blend of experience giving them both the foundation and appreciation they need for working in the auto care profession.

Lane and Trent are not alone among the expert mechanics at Kingdom Autocare, however. “We stand out by combining expert auto repair with honest, faith-driven service you can trust,” Trent expresses. “Our ASE-certified technicians use digital inspections with photos and videos to keep you fully informed, and we back our work with a three-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty. From transparent communication to financing options and after-hours drop-off, we’re committed to making your experience easy, trustworthy, and focused on long-term care – not quick fixes. Furthermore, we also offer free loaner cars to use while your vehicle is being worked on.”

In what they refer to as a “shameless plug,” Lane and Trent want to extend an invitation to potential new members of Kingdom Autocare. They are on the lookout for outstanding service advisors and technicians to join the team and are even offering a $2,500 referral bonus to anyone who refers an “A player” who gets hired. While this referral bonus is permanent, their shop-opening promotions currently running are not. So, now is the perfect time to check out Kingdom Autocare before the promotional offers end.

“At Kingdom Autocare, everything starts with people,” Lane declares. “When hiring, we invest significant time getting to know each candidate – not just their technical skills, but how well they align with our culture and values. Because of this intentional approach, we haven’t struggled to hire; in fact, we’ve been blessed to attract great people who thrive in our team environment. We believe that when individuals are part of a healthy, purpose-driven culture, they’re more engaged, collaborative, and committed to growth.”

“Thanks to our strong team, we’re able to handle a wide range of repairs,” Trent concludes. “The only work we typically don’t take on is large semi-truck repair, simply because our facility isn’t designed for that scale.”

At Kingdom Autocare everything may start with people, but people are also where everything comes together. The best mechanics and auto care professionals may work to get machines back in working order and back on the road, but in the end, it’s people in need of those machines. At Kingdom Autocare, they may labor to service cars, but they live to serve their neighbors.

Kingdom Autocare is located at 927 East Washington Street in East Peoria. If you are in need of a repair or wish to join their team, give them a call at (309) 220-5573, or book an appointment at www.kingdomautocare.com/auto-repair-east-peoria.
