The Fon du Lac Park District is gearing up for a highly anticipated event this spring: its first-ever community egg hunt! The event will take place on Saturday, April 12th at 10am at Veterans Park on Springfield Road, promising an exciting morning full of fun, laughter, and, of course, plenty of colorful eggs.

This inaugural egg hunt will bring together families and children of all ages for a morning of outdoor adventure. With thousands of eggs hidden across the park’s beautiful grounds, participants will have the chance to collect eggs filled with treats, surprises, and special prizes. The event is free to attend, and sources say that the Easter Bunny will also be there to say hello!

“We’re thrilled to host our first-ever egg hunt and are looking forward to bringing the community together for a day of family-friendly fun,” said Kris Holcomb, event coordinator for the Fon du Lac Park District. “This is a great opportunity to celebrate the season, enjoy the outdoors, and interact with your fellow neighbors and communities.”

The egg hunt will be divided into different age groups with staggered start times to ensure all children have an opportunity to participate. The younger age groups will start promptly at 10am, with a 5-minute pause in between groups.  Special golden eggs will be hidden for those seeking an extra challenge.

“This event is an opportunity for us to connect with the community in a fun, engaging way,” said Craig Weigle, Park District Director. “We’re excited to host something special for families to enjoy together, and we hope to make this an annual tradition.”

The Fon du Lac Park District encourages attendees to bring their baskets and be ready for a morning of excitement and discovery.
