Walk, Run, or Ride the Trolley Float at FOLEPI During “Get Lit”
Those who want to see the Festival of Lights floats and displays up close can run, walk, or ride the lighted Trolley float through the Folepi’s Winter Wonderland display during the 24th annual “Get Lit” New Year’s Eve Celebration.
Get Lit family friendly activities will occur from 9:15pm until midnight Dec. 31. There will be no vehicles in the Winter Wonderland during the event, and dogs are not allowed. This is the only time people are allowed to walk through the Winter Wonderland display.
Families can celebrate the New Year by riding the lighted Trolley parade float or enjoying a casual stroll through the display from 9:15 until 10:55pm. They can also warm up at fire pits and enjoy s’mores, marshmallows and hot chocolate.
The Get Lit’s traditional run/walk through the Winter Wonderland starts after the last Trolley trip, at approximately 11pm and is a way for people to “run” in the new year. Participants must stay on the main road due to the numerous guide wires supporting the displays.
Cost is $20 per person. Those registering by Dec. 11 are guaranteed a 24th Annual Get Lit long-sleeve T-shirt. There will be a limited availability of shirts at the event on Dec. 31.
